Castle Farm Gift Guide 2018
See what the Castle Farm Team have chosen as their favourite Christmas gift picks for 2018!
At this time of year, The Hop Shop turns into an Aladdin’s Cave of delights… foodie treats, gifts for all the family, Christmas decorations, festive foods, party nibbles and Christmas cheer!
This year we asked some of the Castle Farm Team to show us what they have chosen as gifts for friends and family and why…. have a look below for inspiration!
My sister gave me some of these colourful woven jute place-mats as a present a few years ago. I loved them and so, of course, had to track down the supplier so I could stock them in The Hop Shop! I use mine daily – they’re long-lasting and have never shown any marks. There are some Christmassy designs and table runners too.
This scarf is so warm and soft…. and will be wrapped up under the Christmas tree for my dear Mum who deserves a real treat on Christmas Day! I know she is going to love it (and I couldn’t resist buying one for myself too)…
Brummm brummm…. I couldn’t go past this lovely tractor nightlight for my farm-obsessed nephew! When its bed time, the outline of the tractor shines with pin pricks of light, giving enough light for comfort, but not waking him up. They also come in balloon shapes and animal designs, but this tractor was my favourite!
As a self confessed fairytale fan..”When I grow up I want to ride unicorns”… Coco chose this cute little unicorn soft toy to give her baby sister Frankie (and Frankie will be lucky if she even gets a look in once the wrapping paper is off!).
I have chosen these fun cured meat packages for making your own Bacon or Salmon as a gift for some of my foodie friends. The experience of using the kit is really interesting and, of course, the end result is delicious!
These little colouring kits are so clever – I have squirrelled away one for each of the kids!… they come complete with colouring pens, stickers, and a paper pad full of clever drawing ideas. They pack away perfectly and will be used on rainy days, and even for taking in the car and on aeroplanes.

I’ve chosen to give this gift hamper – which I compiled myself – to some friends who recently moved to Kent. Everything I chose is made in the Garden of England – so I thought it would be a great way to introduce them to our wonderful county. It includes chocolates, local jam & chutney apple juice from Castle Farm, and tea which uses our Lavender!

This lovely ‘Lavender Pamper Hamper’ is a special gift for a friend of mine who visited the Lavender Fields this summer… a reminder of the relaxing views and scent of July! It includes Lavender Massage Oil, Lavender Handcream and the relaxing Sleepy Scent.
(If you can’t make it to the shop, this gift can be ordered online here).
Last year I brought one of these bobble hats for myself, and loved how warm and cosy it is! I received so many compliments on it! So, this year I have decided to buy them as Christmas presents for a couple of friends… and they will certainly keep them warm if we experience another Beast from the East this Winter!
